Bumblebees 3 - 5 years
In our Bumblebees room our aim is to provide all children with a safe, happy learning environment, both inside and outdoors. In Bumblebees we feel children learn through play, so we provide them with a wide range of fulfilling activities and experiences. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage we use observations which enable us to recognise children's individual needs. Each child has a key worker to help support their development.
We have an indoor and outdoor area which the children can free flow in and out of whilst being supervised, this incorporates the six areas of development. All our activities are based around the children's interests, whilst adult support is given to develop new skills.
Our Bumblebees at Walthamstow love to be taken out so we give them a wide range of places of interest to visit, amongst them are trips to feed the horses, which are located 3 minutes from us, adventure playgrounds, libraries, farms, theatres, conservation areas, educational facilities, and they are even taken shopping for cooking ingredients.
Bumblebees at Thurston has an amazing pre-school building with lots of space and a huge garden with a playhouse and adventure playground. Bumblebee children also have visits to the local library, parks and shop.
